Disclosure Statement
CurrentCFO is a participant in affiliate advertising programs. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase — at no additional cost to you.
How We Earn
This site earns revenue through two primary channels:
- Display advertising (Google AdSense) — We display ads on our pages. We earn a small amount each time an ad is shown or clicked.
- Affiliate commissions — When we recommend products or services, we sometimes use affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and take a qualifying action (like signing up or making a purchase), we may receive a commission from the affiliate partner.
Our Affiliate Partners
We participate in affiliate programs including, but not limited to:
- ShareASale / Impact (FreshBooks, Gusto)
- CJ Affiliate / FlexOffers (Hiscox)
- PartnerStack (Relay, ActiveCampaign)
- Other business software and financial service affiliate programs
Commercial Finance Referral Partners
In addition to the affiliate programs above, CurrentCFO (operated by Purple Management Group, LLC) maintains direct referral agreements with commercial finance providers. Where a reader is referred to one of these providers and becomes a client, we may receive a referral fee or commission:
- Universal Funding Corporation — accounts receivable (invoice) factoring
- Stonebridge Financial Services — accounts receivable (invoice) factoring
- NFS Leasing, Inc. — equipment financing and leasing
We disclose these relationships the same way we disclose affiliate links — in advance, in writing, and with the reader's full knowledge. No reader is obligated to use any referred provider, and the commission paid by the provider does not increase the cost of services to the client.
Editorial Independence
Our affiliate relationships never influence our editorial content. We only recommend products and services we believe are genuinely useful for small business owners. We frequently link to free government resources (IRS.gov, SBA.gov, SEC.gov) that generate no revenue for us.
How to Identify Affiliate Links
Articles containing affiliate links include a disclosure notice at the top of the article. You will see a statement such as: "This article contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you make a purchase through our links, at no extra cost to you."
No Extra Cost to You
Clicking an affiliate link does not increase the price you pay. The commission comes from the merchant, not from your pocket.
